Well, hello and welcome to the Yahoo Fantasy Football Forecast.

I am merely Andy Barron's coming to you from Chicago, per the usual.

I am joined, of course, by the Hall of Famer, the Multisport Fantasy legend, Scott Pianowski.

He is somewhere in the great state of Michigan. Scott, how are you today? I'm outstanding, Andy. Looking forward to talking

some historical fantasy football today. This podcast will not help you win your league in

2022. In fact, it might make you a little bit worse, but it's going to be a fun pod if you are i don't

know if you're if you're like a veteran fantasy manager somebody who's been playing for the last

20 years and you're kind of stuck in the in in your ways maybe it'll help maybe it'll help

jar you into into the modern era we are, I think everybody listening to this podcast knows that

Scott and I are just a couple of ancients who have been writing and talking about fantasy

football professionally for like 15, 20 years. We've been playing it much longer than that.

We have seen some pretty significant changes, both in the real life game and in fantasy.

And today, we're going to dig into the history of what has basically changed as the game has

gotten more and more popular. And we're doing this because we still see people drafting and

managing their teams in a way that may have worked 15, 20 years ago, but won't work today. Shout out to our producers here at Yahoo, who had the great idea,

you know, they thought to themselves, well, here's two very old men who, you know, while we have

them and while they're lucid, let's put their thoughts down on audio and record it for posterity's sake. So again, you and I, a couple of elders,

we're just going to talk about some of the biggest things in fantasy football that have changed

since we began playing. And we're going to try to spin this in a helpful way. But who knows,
