You know, seldom am I permitted to speak at Thanksgiving or Christmas holidays. You know why? Because I love talking about politics,

religion, spirituality. So it's just really better for me to keep my mouth shut. It's better for

everyone if I keep my thoughts to myself during

those times. In a way, it's disappointing that we're unable to respectfully share opinions anymore,

but that's where we are. Christmas without an abortion discussion or Second Amendment rights

discussion just doesn't seem the same to me.

But of course, I'm kidding.

Joking aside, those two subjects bring the best and the worst out of people.

The abortion issue, it's been settled by giving it back to the states,

but when it comes to the Second Amendment,

some states make laws that infringe on

Americans' rights to bear arms.

Infringe.

That's an interesting word.

It's in the Second Amendment, and when I've asked people, what does that mean?

I simply get back, it means shall not be infringed, which I didn't really think that we

were permitted to use the word to define a word, but that's really all I ever get from people.

When one questions waiting periods for gun purchases, many say that infringes on the right to own a gun.
