We didn't really talk too much about the Giants and Jackson Dart, specifically.

The two quarterbacks obviously played fairly well for both teams.

Obviously, you're looking to see the future with Jackson Dart, and he's the guy we're all looking for.

We all know Russell Wilson.

But let me ask you, right, the way the Giants have played over the last handful of years, everything that's gone on.

They bring in the two veteran quarterbacks.

I said, as we started to talk football, for me, ideally Jackson Dart never sees the field this year.

That they play well enough.

You get enough from Russell Wilson, and you never have to see him hit the field and he gets a full year of learning this

offense and working with the coach. Would you agree with that sentiment or do you think he should

you know at some point this season if you know if they deem him to be the future of the franchise

you got to get his feet wet before the season. Well I think to your point it all goes it all comes

down to how the season pans out.

If it's a situation where, you know, Russ is just not getting you enough, but you feel like Dart could be, can be that springboard for an offense that's kind of like mid, if you will. Right. Yeah, to throw them out there. Right. How does it hurt you? So even if you, like, if at any point the Giants feel the best quarterback in the room is Jackson Dart, do they go to him right then no matter when that is? Or do they have a plan here and they want to really get this guy a full year? Or like if they go, man, look at him in practice. He's just better. Like, do they make that move? Well, I think he may, so according to your scenario, if he is the best quarterback in the room.

And you're still hesitant to throw him out there.

I think that all correlates to the office line with condition they're in.

If the office line's holding up and they're doing well and they can protect him, like one of the things we saw Saturday against the bills was his ability to go through his progression, you know what I mean,

and look calm in the pocket, right? He wasn't rushed. Even after he took that big hit, he didn't seem rattled by it, right? So you, as a coach, you're like, okay, we can clean up some of the mechanics to get the ball out of his hand fast, So hopefully we can develop a run game where we don't put so much on the shoulders.
