Hi, I'm Edwards 3, and welcome to all things Catholic, where real faith meets real life.

One of the most basic Christian prayers is the Lord's Prayer, where we say, our Father, we call God

Father.

We do this all the time.

As Catholics, we do it at every Mass.

We call God Father.

And yet, do we really have a close relationship

with our Heavenly Father? How about you? How do you experience your relationship with God, the Father?

Do you experience how much he rejoices in you? Do you experience how much he wants to support you,

to comfort you, to strengthen you amidst

the various trials and sorrows and joys and longings of your daily life? Do you experience

how much he wants to bless you? You know, I think this idea of God the Father is a little

complicated for us as Christians because we don't have as much

of an image of God the Father. Sometimes we do from religious art. We might picture this old man

up in heaven with this big white beard. But do I really experience the fatherly love of my Heavenly

Father, day in and day out, do I experience his presence in my life, his guiding hand in my life,

his support and encouragement in my life.

Do I experience his healing power in my soul?

You know, I think it could be particularly hard
