Now God is a good God.

And we know there are many layers to this story.

The fact that God had already a thousand years before Abraham had been born, before he

asked Abraham to do, he already knew what he was going to do.

He was going to provide a lamb.

As a symbol, as a metaphor, as an illustration of the fact that in a few thousand years,

he was going to provide the lamb of God, his own son.

And he would sacrifice, God would sacrifice his son for you.

God is a God of love.
