Hi, I'm Cissy Graham Lynch.

Welcome to Fearless, we are remembering and celebrating all of our nation's

veterans and I'm excited about my guest today who is retired lieutenant

general William Boykin who spent 36 years in the Army, and he is one of the original

members of the U.S. Army's Delta Force. He was privileged to ultimately command these elite warriors

in combat operations.

And many of those were numerous high-profile missions which many of us civilians have

know and heard of, like the 1980 Iran hostage rescue attempt.

Also, what many of us know is Black caught down the incident in Somalia.

But Jerry Boykin also commanded all of the Army's Green Berets as well as the Special Warfare Center and

school. He spent his last four years in the military as the Deputy Undersecretary of Defense

for Intelligence. But what many people might not know is he's an

ordained minister who has a great passion for spreading the Gospel of Jesus

Christ and encouraging Christians to become warriors in God's kingdom. And he also serves as a vice president at the

Family Research Council, which I talk about so much here on Fearless. I'm so thankful for the work of

FRC. And so I'm so thankful for the work of FRC and so I'm honored that General you could join me here.

My brother Edward, who you know and know well, served many years in the military, and my family and I we serve up the Operation Heil Our Patriots with Samarins Percy each summer, which I've had the honor of meeting you there. You've come to to visit so thank you for joining us on today's

episode of Fearless General. Cissy I am so delighted to be with you especially for this very

special occasion. Yeah Veterans Day is, I'm thankful, I take a lot of time on Memorial Day and Veterans Day with my children to teach them what it truly means.

We kind of have a tradition in our family. Any veteran we see with their

hat on, my son he's five, he doesn't even need to be told anymore. He goes and he tells them,
