0:45.9	one that has been free of disappointment. None of us has realized our relational dreams. So we have to ask, why are our
0:55.3	relationship such a struggle? Why do we have to strive to live in peace and
1:00.1	harmony with those whom we say we love?
1:03.0	Why are our relationships marked by so much conflict?
1:07.0	Why do we experience so much irritation hurt and impatience?
1:12.0	Why?
1:14.0	The answer to these questions is both clear and hard to accept.
1:19.0	Our relationships are a struggle because we all carry something into our relationships that is destructive to them.
1:26.7	The Bible names it.
1:28.6	Sin.
1:29.9	Sin causes us to be self-absorbed and self-focused because it causes us to live for ourselves.
1:36.9	Sin causes each of us to be selfish in the real sense of what this word means. It makes us more demanding than serving, more accusing than
1:46.4	forgiving, more defensive than approachable, and more critical than
1:51.4	understanding and patient.
