Another way we try to deal with guilt is compromise.

And that's the whole idea of, well, I'm feeling guilty and here's the standard.

So what I think I'll do is I'll just lower my standard and then I won't feel guilt

anymore.

And I'll say, I don't believe that's a sin anymore.

How's that working for you?

Again, it's trying to convince your heart what your conscience knows is wrong and compromising,

you know, maybe if I just do it enough, then it won't be a sin anymore.
