0:08.8	Out of curiosity, so I like this idea of biological urges.
0:12.4	I think that one of the things is somebody who came to politics very, very late.
0:16.9	I felt like I was the kid saying the emperor had no clothes.
0:22.2	Seeing people say that men and women are the same, I was like, you guys haven't been married.
0:25.8	Like there's no way you've been married and think men and women are the same.
0:30.3	So on this, I take a very nonchalant approach of that. Like if you're building a worldview in a way that's detached
0:41.6	from things that are self-evident you've got a problem so are the urges that you're
0:47.1	referring to largely sexual in nature are they about aggression like what are the what
0:53.6	would be the clear distinctions that a sane, grounded person would make that the

1:01.6	In the pre-modern world, you had a concept called natural law.
1:05.0	And America was built off the concept of natural law, where it was sort of loss between
1:09.3	the American and the French Revolution.
1:11.2	The idea behind natural law, and it stems back originally to the Greeks, but it was codified
1:15.5	in Christianity, is the structure of society and the legal code should be a representation of
1:23.4	the real world. And so when they were doing various things like setting up the American
1:32.1	Constitution, they were saying, we're going to build this system working with human nature.
1:37.6	And their idea was we're going to work with God's reality, because if you lie against it,
1:42.0	you're going to get punished. And so when they set up the checks and balances, their idea was that humans are naturally
1:49.2	greedy and selfish.
