Now, it occurred that while the people pressed upon Jesus to hear the message of God,

he was standing by the lake of Janeseret, the Sea of Galilee,

and he saw two boats drawn up by the lake, but the fishermen had gone down from their boats

and were washing their nets.

In other words, they were done fishing, they were cleaning up.

And getting into one of the boats, the one that belonged to Simon Peter,

he requested him to draw a little bit away from the shore.

And he sat down and continued to teach the crowd of people.

He asked him to pull a little bit away from the shore

because sound will bounce off of water and react like some sort of a microphone or an amplifier.

When he had stopped speaking, he said to Peter, put out into the deep water and lower your nets for a hall.

And Peter answered, Master, we have worked all night,

exhaustingly,

we're tired, really tired.

And we didn't catch a thing.
