Welcome back to the morning mindset. I'm glad you're with me today as we strive to get our minds

aligned with the truth of God's work. Hey, I wonder if you've ever heard this popular quote that

goes around here and there. And it goes something like this. Preach the gospel at all times. Use words

if necessary. You know, often people say that was a quote from St. Francis of Assisi. But actually,

he did never say that. That's something somebody came up with and attributed to him to help it get more mileage.

But the reality is the statement itself, though it sounds good,

and though it's encouraging us to live the kind of life that is consistent with the gospel,

actually isn't true.

That's not a biblical statement. Because preaching the gospel actually isn't true. That's not a biblical statement because preaching the gospel

cannot be done without words today. In Romans chapter 10, we are going to dig in to the truth of the

matter on how faith comes to us. But before we do, could I ask you for a very specific favor?

We want your Holy Spirit to teach us and to convict us in the areas where we need to live differently than we are now.
