617 text during the break on driverless cars and my lead this morning which was that the city

council here in boston held a hearing yesterday on banning them and the texter suggests that if they

can enjoy a road soda then then they are all in.

I don't know if I don't know that the law would change on that. I don't know if you're allowed to have a beverage in a driverless vehicle or not. It should change. Well, because you still have the open container law. I think here. That should change. Wait, you can't drink in an Uber when you're not driving? No. No, I mean, there are Uber drivers that will let you if you bring your Red Solo Cup.

But I always drink. I mean, I guess I drink everywhere, but yeah. Yeah, it is a lot. When you get to Connecticut, there's no law. Well, there should be no law. Like, if you're in a driverless vehicle. It's like an Argo when they get out of Iranian airspace, they can have the champagne. Exactly.

this is stupidest law ever that you can't have

open containers just everywhere.

It makes no sense to me.

I'm going to see my buddies and I'm having a drink when I go like, to me, I don't, it's the dumbest thing ever. And I know, I want to ask a politician why there's no, there is an open container law. It just makes no sense. I'm a state. what's that? It's an old Puritan state. Yeah. Well, and also, I'm assuming that like when the Puritans let you smoke pot in your car? Like, I mean. Fair point. Well, when, I'm assuming when it comes to driving, it's a holdover from, obviously, if somebody is driving around with people in their vehicle and, and they're drinking, as soon as they get pulled over, they're going to hand the open container to somebody else.

Right. But then you do a blood alcohol test and you're either drunk or you're not. Yeah. It does seem way out. And if you turn it down, it's the same as doing it and failing. I mean, there are cities like Nashville, which Curtis loves, where you can walk around with a beverage, go bar to bar,

and it seems like it's a fun thing for people to do.

It should be everywhere.

I think when I was in Annapolis, there's even takeout windows that you can get drinks at

and walk around at different restaurants and bars.
