It's not so unusual for presidential nominees to be somewhat controversial, but is it strange for somebody to create both excitement and deep concerns among people all across the political

spectrum? Yes. I think we're used to presidential appointees having very clear political allegiances,

and that generally results in either Republicans or Democrats criticizing them.

But in RFK's case, he has both support and has elicited criticism from people of both parties,

which is definitely strange. His views reflect both concerns of the left and the right.
