0:04.5	going verse by verse through 1 Timothy. You and me up here in the mountains. Real
0:08.8	informal, casual, 12 weeks. Looking at an older man named Paul, building up and
0:15.2	investing in a younger man named Timothy. Teaching him how to be a man of God and
0:21.1	fight a good fight. And I'll tell you in a day when the world has lost its mind and
0:25.8	and everything's going to hell. A few men need to learn how to fight. I'll see you guys
0:30.2	online this summer as we study 1 Timothy, the good fight. All right guys, welcome back to our
0:36.8	summer Bible study for real men. We're in 1 Timothy chapter 1 verses 12 through 20 today. It's
0:43.9	command number 2. Slay sin. And the way we're looking at 1 Timothy, it's a spiritual father Paul
0:52.6	writing to a spiritual son Timothy. And he's teaching him, training him, telling him how to
0:59.7	grow into manhood and godliness. And one of the themes he uses a lot throughout the book is a fight.
1:06.6	And it's going to be a fight. If you want to be a good man, a godly man, you're going to have to
1:14.8	you're going to have to learn how to fight for it because our world is run by the devil and you are
1:21.4	internally tempted by the flesh. And the result is unless you fight gravity, your life, your legacy
1:29.2	is going downward, not upward. And we're seeing this in historic numbers. I'm a dad, I got five kids,
1:38.6	three sons, I got a son-in-law, I've got two grandsons on the way. And for you older guys,
1:47.6	just would encourage you, we have an opportunity to help pull up the next generation of young men.
1:53.6	For you younger men, man, you are in one heck of a situation. I'm not going to lie to you,
2:00.3	I'll be real honest. The world that you're growing up in and entering into masculinity and manhood
2:07.1	in it's a disaster. It's a dumpster fire meets prison riot situation and everything from politics to
2:19.1	entertainment, to education, to culture has been infiltrated by the demonic and evil. And everything is
2:27.6	against you. And the government is seeking to make you dependent. And the internet with technology
