The new year is a time that many people decide to reflect on things that they'd like to either change about themselves. Let's be clear though we can make changes at any point in the year but, the new year is a great way to set a timeline for any changes that you decide to make.
It's a little too easy to get caught up in the mundane ins and outs of each day. We have to break the mold even though establishing routines are a great way to systematize your life. Periodically, check in with yourself to see if what you are doing is actually working. You don't want to do a thing just because you've always done it that way.
Being happy is one of the most important parts of life. Attaining happiness is something that comes through being intentional. Happiness doesn't just happen. Interrupting mundane routines is often times a good way to listen to what thoughts begin to rise to the surface again. Day to day life can often times bury and mask the thoughts that we end up forgetting when we don't take the time to actually listen to ourselves.
