How do you get the Build Back Better Bill to Pass?

Just change the name.

I'm Monica Perez, and this is today's deep dive.

Okay, today we're gonna dive off a tortured headline from USA Today.

Shouting distance.

That's how close the inflation reduction act would get the US to its climate goals.

I think there's so many things wrong with that.

It's not an inflation reduction act that is that that in itself is tortured.

The name of the bill is tortured, even more tortured than this

USA Today headline. And anyone would say these are climate goals, that's not an inflation

goal. It probably has to be the opposite because it's more expensive.

So they didn't mention anything in the article about why it was named the

inflation reduction act. Obviously it was just to get it passed

it had originally been filed as the build back better act which was that or bill which was that

giant be ameth when spending was all the rage.

I think it was maybe a year ago or more that it was filed as that.

And since then there's been a couple of spin-offs. One was the Infrastructure Act which passed,

so the Build Back Better thing was anywhere from 4 billion to 6 billion dollars.

The Infrastructure Act was, I think, approached 2 billion. This is a kind of weird one because it has

a lot of revenue raising provisions in it so that it's they're saying that it's
