Call me very, very bullish and excited about this deal.

Call me also very, very tentative on going way overboard because the player they acquired

has a history of injury you may have heard.

Anthony Davis has reported injuries, serious or not serious.

296 is the total in his 13 and a half year career, 296 times he's been injured.

That's not, I'm speaking from every single story that's been written about Anthony Davis's injury history

because it's been a story for those of you who have not followed his career.

The 296 injuries have affected 51 unique body parts.

Over 50 of the 296 injuries have been foot related, 20 plus for back ankle and

Achilles. As of January, he's missed 232 career games over 13 and a half years. He's hurt currently,

he hurt his hand a few weeks ago, ligament in his hand. He's out for another five weeks minimum, but no surgery apparently will be required.

This player is going to drive me nuts because I can already tell you next year is going to be back to what I used to do,

which is watch a lot of these Wizards games because I love basketball and I want that team to be good.

He's going to drive me nuts because he's not going to be available or, I mean, literally,

he'll get bumped, you know, running the floor after a block shot. He'll get bumped and he will go

to the ground and he'll reel on the ground. He'll be rolling around as if he got shot. And then he's out and you see him go to the ground and he'll reel on the ground. He'll be rolling around as if he got shot.

And then he's out and you see him go to the bench and then a few minutes later you see him get up

with a towel around his head and he's walking back to the locker room. And then, you know,

later that night, early the next morning, he's out for two weeks with what, hip, whatever it is, an ouchy.

He's going to drive me nuts from that standpoint.

He is, but for the price, for the price, I am ready to see relevant, meaningful,

intentional to win basketball next year.
