Well, hello there. It's Morgan here and welcome to today's episode. Today I want to talk about

0:05.7

how do you feel about the phrase, quality over quantity? This is something that I've learned

0:14.0

to ask myself and I just wanted to share a story with you about how I had to learn how to rethink this idea of quality over

0:25.1

quantity because I realized that there were some areas where it was actually holding me back.

0:31.0

So some time ago, I was chatting with someone about creativity and art and process and all those things. And they just kind of passively said,

0:40.9

oh, well, it seems like you're really a perfectionist about your work. And I got a little defensive.

0:46.5

I didn't really say anything, but I was just like, hmm, what? And I thought about it for a while,

stories about how they made this room just to record these certain kind of instruments. And I just, oh,

1:47.9

I loved it. I was like, I just love how much time and efforts being put into making such

1:54.9

good quality music. And I became so wrapped up in that that when that opportunity ended and when that

2:03.3

experience ended, I just stopped making music altogether because I would see online when

2:09.7

people would talk about the artists that they love like, oh, I'm so glad so-and-so spent so much

2:16.0

time working on this album because you can just tell it's such a

2:19.4

good quality album and I was sitting here with undiagnosed ADHD and no budget whatsoever just thinking

2:29.4

well whenever I get the opportunity again to create music it's going to have to be at least as good
