Four minutes after ten is the time. You are listening to James O'Brien on LBC, where we will today have a little look at calls from the food industry to sort of nice way's no nice word of putting this, to suspend the

law in the hope of mitigating the impact of a so-called no-deal Brexit. Now, listen, I'm no

international trade expert. Neither am I an expert on medicine food, road haulage, transport,

or many other issues, to be perfectly frank with you.

But I'm fairly sure that you don't generally spend billions of pounds, suspend laws and

stockpile essentials in order to mitigate the impact of a good idea.

Let us leave that hanging.

I don't know if we'll be returning to Brexit-related territory today because there's so much

else I want to bring to your attention,

not least an astonishing surge in what is known as child parent abuse.

This is children physically attacking their parents and carers.

I want to talk about that a little later in the program,

but I obviously won't be able to unless you call me and tell me what it's like to be in the middle of that story.

It sounds absolutely heartbreaking. Why the rest of us will wonder, is it increasing exponentially?

What is it about modern life that is seeing children attack their adult carers, parents or otherwise, I will reveal to you the secret

of getting a seagull to leave you alone. I'm not sure I want to tell you that, but because one of

the greatest moments of my life involved a seagull swooping from the sky. I think we're in Margate,

actually, and plucking a pasty from my beloved wife's hands as she screamed in absolute horror and I fell over.

Such was the state of hysterical laughter into which I collapsed.
