Welcome back to another episode of apostolic life in the 21st century.

0:11.8

It's good to have you with us today.

0:14.1

Today's episode is for all of the apostolic parents out there,

0:18.3

or maybe for those of you who are hoping that down the road, God will

0:23.1

bless you with children. Dr. Bernard, one of my greatest blessings in life is that I'm the parent

0:29.0

of two children. I have a daughter and a son, and I think I would speak for a lot of apostolic,

0:35.0

hopefully I speak for all apostolic Pentecostals out there when I say

0:38.1

that as a parent, my greatest desire is I want to raise my kids to be apostolic Pentecostal. I want

0:44.7

them to be to follow in in my footsteps as a apostolic believer. I recognize, though, when I say that,

0:52.6

that there are no guarantees. I recognize up front that there's nothing I can do that is going to absolutely 100% ensure that that's going to happen because my kids have, they're like me, they have free will.

are in the church, are involved in ministry. I want to know what do you feel like are really

1:19.4

the key principles or the key concepts that parents, and I would extend this to grandparents

1:25.5

as well, can do or put in place to increase the

1:30.8

likelihood that their children are going to be apostolic Pentecostal. You know, that's an

1:34.6

important question. I want to underscore something you said. First of all, whatever I say,

1:40.0

we really do understand each person as they become an adult, they have an ability to choose.

1:45.8

And no matter how wonderful the parents, or no matter how they're wonderful the training,

1:49.1

we cannot guarantee that a child is going to grow up and serve the Lord.

1:54.4

We want them to.

1:55.6

We believe we can increase the odds tremendously.

1:58.9

We can give them every advantage, but in the end, they have to make a choice.
