And I got to thinking, I've been living in Paris for six years now, but I've never hung around for Christmas Day.

Usually because I'm visiting family elsewhere in the world.

And I got to thinking, what is a typical

Christmas Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas season like in France? So who better to ask than a French

person? So I got in contact with Camille from French today. If you've been listening to the show for a long

time, you'll surely recognize her voice. And I said, Camille, will you tell me all about Christmas?

And she said that she'd be delighted.

So in this conversation, you're going to hear about Christmas traditions, what they eat in France on Christmas Day, a little bit about the markets, a little bit of French language that you can use at Christmas. But what I wanted to say,

this episode is a little bit different because for the first time ever, I experimented with

recording it live on a Zoom chat with, I think it was 80 people from around the world who

were watching us do this very recording. So it was recorded via Zoom,

which I would have done anyway. Camille is on the other side of France. But while we were doing it,

80 members were watching it. And then after this episode you here finished, the chat kept going

for another half an hour with Camille and then another half an hour after that with just me.
