What does it look like to disciple another Christian? Do you have to be older than the person

you're discipling? Or know more theology? Or never miss a day of Bible reading and prayer? The reality

is that most of us have wondered before, do I have what it takes to disciple someone else? And if so, how do I get started?

Well, in my interview today, I'm talking with Garrett Kell, a man who's been discipling

other Christians for years.

Garrett shares some encouraging stories from his own life related to discipling others and

being disciples himself, highlighting some good principles to follow and common pitfalls to avoid.

Garrett is a pastor at Del Rey Baptist Church in Alexandria, Virginia.

So today we're going to talk about what it looks like to be a good discipller, this task that all of us feel, I think, as Christians,

but we have a sense that this is something that we're all called to do to some extent,

to disciple other people.

And yet, I think it's one of those things that can feel pretty intimidating to most of us.

Maybe it seems like there's like a, there's like a 10% out there and they are, they are

disciples. They get it. They love it. They do it. They talk about it all the time. And the rest of

us, 90% are kind of like, eh, you know, am I really called to do this? So what is that supposed

to look like? So we're going to get into all that, but maybe to start us off, Garrett, can you think back who was the first person you would say
