I wonder why Trump has left the G7 meeting early.

I don't think we can get a phoning out of it

because it would be entirely speculative.

The facts, as I understand them,

are that Macron said he'd left early to help broker a ceasefire, and he said, no, I haven't. That's categorically wrong. If you saw Mark Carney, the Prime Minister of Canada, intervening at a press conference yesterday, well, I mean, I'd say it was quite humiliating for Donald Trump, but we now have to set that against what happened at the military parade that he had on his birthday at the weekend. So that has plumbed new depths of public humiliation.

I was trying to think of the best phrase to describe what his face looked like. And all I can come

up with, I may have absorbed this from someone else on social media, in which case I apologize,
