Summary

For this special episode, Dan is highlighting a new bill he just introduced called the "Direct Primary Care for America Act." Over the past few years the concept of direct primary care has been adopted by doctors all across America with lots of success. The idea is simple: you should have an affordable monthly fee for a primary-care doctor, without extra charges for visits and without third-party insurance. You can find a doctor near you by simply going to a website and typing in your ZIP code. This new model makes health care costs more transparent and affordable, and strengthens the doctor-patient relationship.

Joining us to discuss direct primary care are two doctors who have actually implemented the model in their practices - Dr. Glenn Davis and Dr. Geetinder Goyal - along with a returning guest and health care expert - Dr. Avik Roy.
