How did we get here is a brand new podcast starting soon where myself,

Claudia Winckman and my very brilliant friend, Professor Tarnia Byron,

talked to people about difficulties they're facing with their families in special

one-to-one sessions. Whilst Tarnia talks, I listen in from another room and in the

breaks I ask Tarnia why she asked particular questions. You obviously are

extraordinary, you do this for a living. Why did you want to make this a podcast?

I think it came out of the stuff that we do in your kitchen. We talk together

about how to understand life and how people find themselves in certain

situations and what does it mean and what can be done. Can you explain to the

group how we got the title? One of our contributors, wonderful mum Natasha, she kept

saying how did we get here as she was trying to work out huge challenges

that she was facing and I think you and I thought that's the question we're

trying to help everybody answer. So here are a few little moments from the

upcoming series. We meet people including Jack. He wanted to accept that his

father wasn't in his life but then realised there were other ways to look at it.

You're taking the weight off because you're saying I knew it was in pain but you're

literally showing me insane to me but wait a minute I know it but I'm really

being told now that this isn't actually about me. And Shaola who is struggling

with balancing work, motherhood and marriage. So your childhood was unpredictable

emotionally it was unpredictable and your response to that when you were
