0:12.9	So Brian, one theory that's a little bit separate from all the physics and scientific theories
0:18.7	and it's a theory I feel like anyone could engage in the speculation of it is the idea
0:24.5	that the entire universe is really a simulation.
0:29.8	Some other civilizations, virtual reality that we inhabit as if were the characters
0:35.6	or the avatars in some giant universal size game.
0:39.6	And from what I understand and correct me if I'm wrong, the idea is we've only been
0:44.1	playing with virtual reality for what?
0:47.0	40 years, 30 years.
0:49.0	And it's already, like when I put on a VR headset, it's pretty good.
0:53.2	It's not, I could see it's not the real world, but it's not bad.
0:57.2	So the idea is, imagine if a civilization has been around for a billion years and playing
1:02.6	around with VR's, their simulations would be perfect and they would have billions and
1:08.4	billions and trillions of simulations around of which the real universe is only one universe
1:15.7	and then all these other simulations, trillions are other universes.
1:20.3	So the odds are almost probable that we're a simulation.
1:24.8	If the real universe is only one out of a trillion, the odds are we're in a simulation
1:30.5	of another much more advanced civilization.
1:33.1	Well, I love this idea, not necessarily because I think it's likely to be true, although
1:38.8	the question of how one could resolve it relies on me not being able to have a strong
1:44.1	opinion in its figure.
