Falconers are wild bird trainers.

I spend my days stomping around the muddy countryside, training hawks, falcons, and eagles.

Don't try this at home, but when I want a bird friend to land on me, I like to hold out my arm like a tree branch, so they have a nice perch. I also wear this big,

heavy glove on my outstretched hand to protect it from the bird's sharp talons. And often,

I'll put a little bird snack on my glove so they'll want to come, because who doesn't love a snack?

Ooh, I hear Artemis. She's my peregrine fal Ooh, I hear Artemis.

She's my Peregrine falcon.

I named her Artemis after the Greek goddess of the hunt.

Like her namesake, Artemis is a fierce hunter.
