All right, well, after VJ Edgecombe's fantastic and history making debut with his 34 points,

he is at the top right now when it comes to our rookie watch.

And guys, we got to talk about specifically the top four and we'll get to the number six

and we'll sprinkle in some of the others because there were some good performances down the line in the lottery. But Kyle, just Vijay Edgecomas we've talked about

so much here on the PHY Sixers podcast, was at 34. We need to talk about Flagg, Harper, Ace,

Bailey, and Trey Johnson as well. And V.J. outshined all of them and some surprises there in the mix.

I mean, VJ. outshined most of the NBA and most of the rookies in the history of professional

basketball on his debut. So there's no shame in that. But look look that is by far the best rookie performance in the

first couple of nights here that we've had basketball it's going to be the one of the best rookie

debuts in history in perpetuity right like he is in the top three for rookie performances that will

last forever and the natural question basically becomes,

is this guy going to win rookie of the year? Does he have a real chance to win rookie of the year?

Watching Dallas at times last night, as high as I am on Cooper Flag, you look at that team and

you say, I don't know if they know what to do with this kid

because they tried to play him effectively as a point guard.

And if you're playing no guards, you're gonna run into a lot of roadblocks.

I do not think Cooper was done many favors.

By contrast, I think VJ is in a great situation for him to succeed, have enough

responsibility to put up numbers and make these highlight plays, but also share that

responsibility with the Maxis, with the McCain's, and with the Grimes of the world.

Yeah, it really is.
