If you're like me, you have been watching Marseille for years. She got her first sitcom role when she was only nine years old on Blackish. You may recall she played Diane,

the youngest daughter of the Johnson family.

legendary run and marseilles basically grew up on set.

And now, at 20, she is playing a daughter again.

Only this time, it's in an action thriller in which her mother, played by Viola Davis, is the president.

I talk with Marseille about the film and what it's like to act alongside one of the greats,

but we also talked a lot about how she made the very smooth transition from child actor

to young adult actor.

Turns out she didn't do it all alone.

Her family helped a lot, especially her mother, who I actually convinced to hop on the mic in this episode.
