And he's joining us now to talk about what the next young Blackhawks and how they fared at the Summer showcase what's up chris hey guys good to be with you you know nothing like talking hockey in

august but i was also watching hockey in july so i guess it's all it's all relative now i don't know

what an off season is anymore does not exist there's There's no days off. Nope. No days off.

Rise and grind.

So you were at the showcase this year and there were a couple of Blackhawks playing.

Let's start off with the guy that feels most likely to make the team out of those that played at the showcase with

AJ Spellacy and Team USA. I know Blackhawks fans are really excited for, you know, his raw tools

and talents kind of starting to get molded into what could look like an NHL player, a guy

that's big, fast, physical.

What did you see out of Spellosy at the camp?

I think we saw all those things.

I mean, he's definitely more physically developed than most of the players his age.

I think that that shows in his ability to outmuscle people for the puck.

He's got that incredible speed that everybody knows about. And, you know, shows in his ability to outmuscle people for the puck. He's got that incredible

Now, the thing about him is, I think with the way the team USA is going to be structured, you know, his opportunity is going to be in a depth role. That's basically what I think he'll be at the NHL level. I don't think he's going to be in necessarily the top of the lineup player.
