One of the great mysteries in radio history was when Howard Stern

left the airwaves

that the CBS Radio Corporation

or Infinity wherever it, decided to take all the stations he was on from coast to coast and not only changed all their formats now to all talk and then hire a guy who'd never done radio before.

Now, someone after we did the first David Lee Roth segment,

Hardy sent me a clip Howard Stern, like the new Howard Stern,

had the guy who spearheaded the change on his show.

And the guy's just, you know, fawning all over Howard and, you know, you left us

in such a terrible position. You're the greatest. You're the greatest. You're the greatest.

But he never fully explains how they arrived at David Lee Roth. And in the explanation, he says

David Lee Roth auditioned in Boston and did great. Now, Dan, you were involved in those auditions, were you not?
