I actually think Credit Suisse has a long history, 164 years and a very strong and good culture.

So I don't think we have a culture problem.

But there are a few things we've learned from this episode.

There were some mistakes done.

That was Credit Suisse former CEO Thomas Gotstein speaking in early 2020

about a damning spying scandal that led to the departure of his predecessor,

Tijan Tiam. And his promise was to clean up the bank's culture. Two and a half years later, the bank has yet another CEO,

and he's taking an axe to the Zurich-based bank. Just how it will work is the focus of this
