Well, that's where we were heading into the weekend,

anticipating a government shutdown. Two-thirds not being in the affirmative, the rules are not

suspended, and the bill is not passed. Remember, Congress needs to agree to periodically

devote taxpayer dollars to the government programs that need it. And because there's a deadline

for this, because it's the one bill you know will get passed eventually, this becomes a magnet for other initiatives. As long as we're passing the budget,

let's just pass all these other things, right? And one fell swoop. Billionaire Elon Musk and then

President-elect Trump blew that deal up last week, suggesting that Republicans abandon all these
