friend Andy Staples from sports illustrated.

So it's no wonder we talked to him about both in particular.

We asked him about the college football coaching world at the time new coaches had been

named at schools like Texas, Oregon, et cetera, et cetera.

Assistance were on the move all over the country for fans.

These high rings are a big deal.

But the process itself to us at least is a mystery.

We asked him what is the biggest misconception about how schools hire coaches.

So I would ask these AD's like how long do you spend with your coach?

I go four hours.

Like wait, for a job that is the highest paying state employee and the highest scrutiny

of anyone at the university, like that's all we could do.

Nowadays, Dan, a power five athletic department, it's a rich operation.

Some schools have a nine figure operating budget with almost double in annual revenue.

This college sports is serious business.

And football is obviously the biggest money sport.

It bank rolls everything.

So the coach who leads a program has a ton of responsibility.
