Welcome to this episode of Kennedy saves the world. So not long ago, I was talking with you about wanting to save the great

city of Memphis, which is having a really hard time. One thing that struck me being there was how

kind and open-hearted the people are and they want to be happy and proud of their city, but they're

having a hard time. So when they're having a hard time.

So when you're having a hard time in a place,

when you look around and you see other people experiencing difficulty,

many people just go, you know what, I don't want to be there.

I want to leave.

I don't want to visit.

I want to abandon the place like hope has been abandoned, but there is one man who decided

to take his local success in Memphis. He's a Memphian. He is the founder of classic American

Hardwoods, which is a massive hardwood company, as the name would suggest. And he put a lot of effort and thought

into becoming a volunteer football coach for Manassas High School in Memphis, in one of the

poorest zip codes in the country. And the story is so inspiring and phenomenal in two years. In just two years,

31 out of 32 of his graduating seniors went to college. In some of the poor school districts

in the country, it's a miracle when students graduate at all. But the fact that he inspired his players to do so well on the field to bond and then to take the next step and go to college, it's the kind of success and investment that saves cities when people replicate it.
