It's lock and load.

Historically, one of the most important functions of government was public education.

Now, there is private education.

There is homeschooling.

There are alternatives.

But getting education right is increasingly important to the survival and prospering of our union.

Coredeanjulus is committed to this and is one of the guys across the country making the biggest difference.

His book lands on shelves today.

The mediocrity, 40 ways government schools are failing today's students.

We didn't actually coordinate to coincide with his book dropping.

It just a fortunate happenstance.

But he has been working hard to make sure that the state of Texas gets our education reform right.

We have about a month left in this legislative session.

Our legislature meets every other year, every two years.

We've got to get this right with a Republican House, Republican Senate, Republican governor.

We should get this right.

But I'm concerned.
