It is good when brothers dwell together in unity. I love that Psalm of Psalm 169, Psalm 133, and what a blessing here to sing it together.

It goes well with the session. I think I mentioned briefly this morning

that often fellowship is overlooked as a means of grace.

And I understand why.

Because when we talk about fellowship,

we're talking about a lot of stuff that you don't control.

With Bible reading, it's like, oh, I can set my my watch I can get up in the morning I can find my quiet space I can have a plan

They kind of feel like I'm in the driver's seat or prayer I can decide what I'm gonna pray

Pray in the car pray after reading the word.

It seems like there's a kind of agency with prayer

and with Bible reading that when we're talking about fellowship,

somebody else has to consent with you.

A group of people have to gather.

So even if you're doing one-on-one coffee,

like you can't just make someone else show up for coffee.

You got to arrange that, you got to schedule that.

It's going to be rhythms and patterns in the life of a local church.

And yet, in those things, even though they're not these personal things we can just make happen

like other activities, they are vital for our spiritual health.

And in one sense, maybe all the more important,

because there's more involved in setting them up

and in setting up good rhythms and patterns in church life.
