because she is our beloved Nick built-ins wife and she is an author of an incredible new

book out this week called Normal Family.

But first I am here with my co-host Jo Hagen and we are joined by our co-worker Van

Nifair Corresponding, Eric Lutz to discuss the latest with the January 6th Committee and

everything else happening in Washington.

Hi Eric, thank you so much for joining us.

Thanks for having me.

Eric, you are our resident, a man on the scene on the beat and I was watching it yesterday

like everybody else and I got to say that the big question for me that's been hanging

really over the hearings the whole time was will this committee be able to connect

what we saw on that day to Donald Trump, right?

Because everybody wants to know, can we prosecute this, fill in your favorite epithet?

Do you feel like this committee has finally sufficiently made that connection?

I think they are making a very strong case that above all else what looked like chaos

and just, you know, is John Bolton characterized it on CNN yesterday, Trump rambling about

in search of any way to cling to power.

I think one of the things that we are seeing throughout these hearings is that none of

it was spontaneous, much of it was yes chaotic and, you know, Trump is not exactly bright,

but it doesn't mean that it wasn't planned, it doesn't mean that it wasn't orchestrated,
