How can you redefine success in your life? Well, hello there. It's Morgan here and welcome to today's

show. Today I want to talk about success and how to redefine it. And before we talk about

redefining it, I guess we should talk about defining it.

And one of the definitions, well, actually I'll give you a few definitions.

If you just simply Google success definition, the first one that comes up is the Oxford Language Dictionary, which is success, the noun, is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose.

And then Merriam-Webster defines success as degree or measure of succeeding.

Cambridge Schickery defines it as the achieving of desired results or someone or something that achieves positive results. That's interesting, thinking of

the person as a noun of, you know, the success. And dictionary.com, the favorable or prosperous

termination of attempts or endeavors. I think that one's the most serious one yet. And that's just

in the top fold of the

definition of the Google search for the definition success. That's a lot there. There's a lot of

pressure there. Even in reading that, I felt my posture straightening up.

And there's also cultural and societal definitions of success that you might not find on the front page of Google, but yet they're woven into society or they're woven into culture.

And it's very hard to really name it at times.

It's hard to say, oh, this is what's defined as success.

So one example of that is in if you're in a culture or a group of people where people define success by getting married and having kids, if you were to say, well, people define success by getting married and having

kids, you might have people say, well, no, not really.

It's just nice to do because X, Y, Z.

And those definitions may be kind of hard as they pin down and say, no, this is

what people expect.

This is how people view a person and they do see people's value value based on their various

attempts and endeavors and accomplishments and goals
