50 nothing personal word of the day for July 21st 2021 is 50 it's a magical number for

the Milwaukee Bucks it's been 50 years since the Bucks won the title with Lou

Alcindor you may know him as Kremau D'Lilgebar the big O Oscar Robertson the

triple double king of the NBA until Russell Westbrook and his ringless

finger came along last night I had such emotion watching the Bucks win for so

many reasons I lived in Milwaukee in 1971 I was three years old I have no

recollection at all of being in a city that is celebrated a championship none I

just remember loving the Bucks in the first basketball game ever went to I

believe they were playing that time in the mecca and I found out with basketball

I ended up moving to New York the next year or two years later and was lucky

enough to become a Nick fan except it was after the nicks had won their two

titles with Willis Reed in 69 70 Wall Frazier Roman Ro and 72 73 and I know

that from looking at those banners of Madison Square Garden for all those

years when you love a team so much and love a city so much all you want is for

them to win that's it I just want to win a championship and you say to yourself

it's so hard to do but then your friends who live in Chicago or Detroit have

done it and they do it again and you can't beat those teams you go to a game in

1994 you beat the Indiana Pacers and Reggie Miller you go to the finals as a

fan and you feel as though this is the greatest moment of my sporting life

there will never be another time because it's been so long you travel the

Houston to watch John Starks shoot two for 18 and a chemo eyes won win two home

games back-to-back because back then it was two three two not two two one one one
