Hello there. I am looking for a Bible-believing church, and I believe that I understand that women are not to be in the pulpit, but I'm finding there's lots of women pastors or assistant pastors. Is it okay at some time that women are in the

pulpit for a temporary position until a biblical man is found?

Hey, Diane, thank you for that question, and I'm sorry to hear that you're having a

difficult time finding a church, a local church that aligns with what you believe the

scripture teaches.

And it's also, I mean, that's also what I believe that the scriptures teach as well.

We do get that question from time to time about female ordination. And while that's not an issue that I think, you know, keeps us from affirming

that, you know, those who differ from us on this question can still be believers in Jesus Christ

and love the Lord. I think it is an important issue. I think that the Apostle Paul prohibits women from serving in that office, the office of

elder, pastor, teacher in places like 1st Timothy 3 and in Titus chapter 1.

So you have the pastoral epistles that seem to say that, you know, someone who's called

to the office or the ministry of the word,

well, they ought to be a called, qualified man within the church. And so is there, is there,

you know, room for, for a leeway there? Can it be, well, there's just no, no men who are rising
