Hi, everyone. Welcome back to Bad on Paper Podcast. I'm Becca Freeman. And I'm Olivia

0:22.0

Mentor. And today's episode is all about my book, baby, The Christmas Orphans Club.

0:27.6

Thought since it is coming out in the world next week, we thought it would be fun to compile

0:34.4

the last three years of working on it. And we have brought on my editor and my agent to talk

0:42.0

about how my book got made. Yeah, we just finished this interview and now we're kind of working

0:47.5

in reverse and recording the intro. But I literally had like physical goosebumps at the end of

0:52.9

this interview. I think it is like just the most, it was the most like life affirming, inspiring

0:59.2

conversation to be part of. And it was just so cool. I mean, on a personal level, it was like a

What's your high other than this? Oh my gosh, this is absolutely my high. But my other high is I

1:37.6

have had a little like writing breakthrough almost. So my focus has been so shot. And I've found

1:44.7

it really hard to keep writing book two as we get closer and closer to my book coming out.

1:51.2

And earlier this week, I tried for the first time ever writing longhand. And I've seen

1:57.0

Ellen Helderbrand does this. Hannah Ornstein does this. I've seen a lot of other writers do this.

2:01.4

And I've always been like, oh, I don't think I have the hand strength for that. But I did it. And I

2:06.8

really, really enjoyed it. Really? Yeah, it was really helpful. Because obviously, if you're writing

2:14.4

with a pen and paper, you cannot check your phone. You cannot do other things. And I found it

2:20.9

really satisfying. It really kept my attention. And it also because you don't have enough room

2:27.9

really to like go back and make corrections, you can cross things off. But like once you're
