Raising a loss of Hanoa to Allah and bearing witness that none has the right to be

worshipped or unconditionally obeyed except for him.

Dear brothers and sisters, if any one of you has ever been through the experience

of having someone beloved to you go through a prolonged disease,

may Allah SWT reward all of you who did hidma, who served your parents or your spouses or

your children or your loved ones during difficult times.

You come to find that people learn about sicknesses as if they themselves have become

scientists or doctors because of the love that they have for the person that is undergoing an

affliction. When my mother, may Allah have mercy on her, was going through cancer, I marvel at how

much my father learned about cancer, to actually learn about the intricacies that only a medical

doctor should know. When I see a person who has children that undergo long diseases,

sometimes very rare diseases, you marvel, Subhanallah, and you think no one should have to know

that much about that particular disease, but it's the love that they have for their children.
