As the amount of data in the world expands, the number of semiconductors we need to process

that information is becoming more numerous and more crucial too. That's one major reason

why ARM, a company you may never have heard of, had a massive initial public offering

of its stock yesterday. It's expected to be the biggest of the year. Are semiconductors

reporter Asa Fitch is going to join us to explain how the company became so valuable.

And it's plans for the future.

Starting with the major cyber attacks that have targeted Las Vegas casinos, the Caesar's

entertainment reported paying hackers roughly half of a $30 million ransom to regain access

to its systems earlier this summer. The company told regulators yesterday, the incident

resulted from an attack on an outsourced IT support vendor. The Caesar's disclosure comes

as another major Las Vegas brand, MGM Resorts, grapples with the fallout of a cyber attack. MGM,

which owns about a dozen casinos along the strip, shut down computer systems, affecting hotels

and casino operations. Slot machines, sports betting kiosks, and automatic revolving doors were

affected. MGM said it had identified the issue and is continuing to investigate the matter.

The FBI said it was aware of the ongoing incident. Reporter James Rundle from the WSJ
