0:20.7	Welcome to Getting Curious. This is Jonathan Venes. I'm so excited to welcome this week's guests, Tanya Dominguez.
0:26.9	You are an inspector for the RSPCA. Yes, I am. Okay. So, I think we are very lucky to have a lot of Australian listeners.
0:36.1	I think we're very lucky to have a lot of American listeners and people all over, but for those folks who don't know what the RSPCA is.
0:43.0	Well, the RSPCA, we're a charity. We're a non-profit charity in Australia. It stands for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
0:53.6	In New South Wales, we have a number of shelters, a number of veterinary clinics, and we have an inspectorate from the Law Enforcement Division of the RSPCA.
1:05.7	Law Enforcement Division of the RSPCA. What was that piece of the sentence you said before in Inspectorate?
1:11.9	Or what did you say? I could have just been an accent that I was like, what's that mean? I love to ask.
1:17.8	The RSPCA has a law enforcement division. Yes, but you're also an inspector.
1:26.0	Yes, I am an RSPCA inspector. Yes. I think that's a term that we don't really hear as much.
1:32.9	I guess we do like a detective or an inspector, but I think it's a fierce title.
1:37.7	Absolutely. We have a piece of job sometimes.
1:40.4	So your RSPCA here in Australia have a really, because we have the ASPCA back in America, and I think there, like, is,
1:48.3	or do you have a relation to the one in the United Kingdom?
1:50.9	We don't, we're not related as such, but we do similar roles. So the SPCA in America, RSPCA, the Humane Society,
2:00.0	we're very similar in many ways, and some of the societies over in the States also have law enforcement divisions such as ours,
2:06.9	like animal cops like this. Yes, yes, yes, got it.
2:10.4	I'm very lucky that all my cats are from different, they're all like rescue cats from different, my two youngest are from the Philadelphia,
2:19.5	like chapter of like the PSPCA is what they call it, and all my other cats are rescues from different, like, little animal shelters.
2:26.2	So I love an animal shelter. I love animals so much.
