Lancey, and Lancey says, I enjoy listening to Core Christianity. I do have a question about meditation

and mindfulness. I find that it really helps me to do mindfulness and meditation exercises on the

Calm app. Is that okay for a Christian?

Hey, Lancey. Thank you for that question. So I actually think it's a good thing. I guess depending on how you're using it. When I say it's a good thing, I think it's probably a lot better than, you know, waking up and jumping onto social media right away. Or, I mean,'s so many things that that crowd us out that are

that are vying for our attention um and i think it's good to be in the presence of the lord to be prayerful

to be quiet to be quiet and still before god and so if it's helping you to do that, then I would say wonderful.

Of course, there are, you know, there are some meditative practices, I think, that are

maybe more associated with the New Age movement.

And of course, you'd want to steer clear of those.

But if we're just talking about being still in the presence of the Lord, taking stock

of where you're at, being introspective in a good sense.

You know, a lot of times, I think we avoid doing some of the work we need to do internally
