Wednesday edition of PFT Live.

So it was eight days ago that Mike Vrable, Patriots head coach, made a surprise appearance in the press room on a day when it had been announced that two players, unnamed players, would be available to meet with reporters.

And Ben Volan, the Boston Globe, was not happy about that outcome, did a whole column,

calling it a sneak attack, having Vrable show up and speak to the media for the first time

without the media knowing that he was going to be there.

And I say that because yesterday there were two players who were available to the reporters

for the first time since the offseason program began.

They're hand-selected here, right?

Like, who are the two that we can trust to go out here and not screw up this whole press conference?

Well, and frankly, I, hey, I don't know.

There's been very few good PR strategies emanating from Foxborough in recent weeks.

So let's hope they picked the right two players when it was time to make the

selections. Both Hunter Henry and Robert Spillane were available yesterday to reporters. Here's

some of what they had to say as relates to the team dealing with the overall Mike Vrable,

Diana Rusini, situation. Yeah, I mean, obviously, you know, I know you guys want to hear about, you know, everything that's going on. But to be honest with you, we're just focused. I'm focused on what we got going on right now in this building with this team. Yeah, I mean, obviously he addressed it. And, you know, that's kind of all I'll say about it. Coach is football. And he keeps the main thing, the main thing.

So I know he's dealing with personal issues, but when we're in the building, we speak football.

Everyone's personal relationship with coach is their personal relationship with coach.

So that's not for me to speak on.

I love coach and I'm going to be here to support him and as he would be there to support me through anything.

So I'm just a player and I'm trying to do that as best as I can.
