We create these quick bursts of inspiration to help start your week on fire and in awe with possibility.

Last week on Monday's Live Inspired podcast, I challenge each and every one of you to live into random acts of kindness day. To take it a step farther,

0:30.9

I asked for you to share an act of kindness that you did for someone or that someone else did

0:35.4

for you. And here's the cool thing. I was completely overwhelmed and

0:41.0

overjoyed with your responses. So thank you all for sending those in. That was awesome. It lit me up.

I wanted to share with you today one of the stories. This one came in from Jen out of Chicago,

0:53.0

Illinois. Jen, what's up? I'm sure you are a huge

1:36.0

Chicago. On a particularly frigid day with the temperature going negative, I found a recipient for a pair of

1:43.5

shoes. I chatted with the gentleman for a

1:46.1

moment, and he shared that he was so cold and almost froze it at the night before as his cardboard

1:51.8

boxes were not shelter enough. I asked if there was a place he could go for the night, and he said it

1:59.2

costs more than the $17 he had. I gave him that money

2:04.3

and his shoes, and had him promised me that where he would go that night to sleep would be that

2:10.1

place that would keep him safe and keep him warm. I told him to know that someone cares about him.

2:20.3

He thanked me, and he promised me, and he happily went to put on his new shoes. John, I am healing my heart by helping others. I am truly grateful
