Summary

The Houston Texans were bounced from the playoffs mostly because CJ Stroud played the worst football of his career, but despite Stroud's struggles, the Texans would be wrong to trade him this offseason. Staying in the AFC South, the Jacksonville Jaguars had a major improvement in 2025 and that came with a big step for Trevor Lawrence, but acting like he is a Top 10 passer in the NFL is still premature. Two third-year passers need to improve in 2026 in Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels. Williams needs to get more accurate and consistent while Daniels has to stay healthy and progress his game, something new offensive coordinator David Blough will be tasked for assisting. Finally, the three rookie starters in 2025, Cam Ward, Jaxson Dart and Tyler Shough all have great chances to take a leap in 2026 and cement themselves as quarterbacks you can build around in the future.
