I've been thinking a lot lately about my house, you know? Okay. Mostly it's because I have been,

0:47.8

you know that you get ideas in your head and you're like, wow, it would be really nice to move to

0:52.2

like insert area here and then you open up Zillow and you start getting emails about Zillow listings in that area. And you're like, oh, damn. It's not going to happen for me, but it's a nice dream. Yeah. Like, you know, the reality is unlikely. But at the same time, you're like, could be nice. It could be nice. So I've been thinking a lot

1:12.5

about houses and homes, and in particular, after our episodes about gnomes, I've been thinking

1:20.2

more about other household spirits. Hell yeah. Those are some of my favorites to talk about,

So, you know, let's get crackle--lackin because I think you're going to find, one, you've heard of a lot of these before, and two, they have a lot of similarities to one another, and there is a reason behind that, Amanda, and I'm excited to tell you about it. Julia, your roundups are like an appetizer sampler at Applebee's,

2:18.5

okay? They give me everything I want and nothing too much. Wow. I appreciate that. Thank you,

2:23.9

Amanda. That's very kind. Very kind of you to say. All right. So, Amanda, let's start with the one that

2:29.7

you've already pointed out. Perfect timing, as always. We'll start with the Domavoy. I love these little

2:36.1

Russian guys. They just want to be thanked. They want you to respect the home and then they will in turn

2:40.3

respect it and help you keep everything okay. Leave a saucer milk out time to time. They're going to be

2:44.2

perfectly fine. Exactly. So translated from Russian, his name literally means of the household.

2:51.1

They are usually depicted as small old men with gray hair and flashing eyes.

2:57.1
